Can a Marantz 5400 drive Von Schweikert VR-1s? Or am I doing these nice speakers a total disservice? What would be a good receiver for these......

Additional question, if I buy the VR-1s as the mains and for the center, can I "cheap out" and get something else as the surrounds? Or am I much better off getting 2 pairs of the VR-1s?

What is a good price for these?
