I recently purchased a Denon AVR-3805 amp and a Denon DVD-2900 player. Can anyone tell me how to interface the two devices so that I can play SACDs? The 3805 has Denon Link, but unfortunately the 2900 does not. Obviously I don't understand the manuals. Rocky

The following is provided as amplification to my problem of interfacing a Denon AVR-3805 amp with a DVD-2900. The six audio output jacks on the rear of the DVD-2900 are obvious. My problem is that I do not see where they should be plugged into the rear of the AVR-3805. Rocky |

Yes, as said, in order to play multichannel SACD's or DVD-A's you'll need to connect the 5.1 output on the player to the 5.1 input on the receiver. You'll need to run speaker setup on the player because direct 5.1 input mode would bypass the bass management on the receiver. |
