Hello, there. I am interested in a competition audio system in my jeep (1998 wrangler). I have a nakamichi cd400 headunit and was wondering what kind of 10" sub(s) for the back and should I use adapter plates (5.25)components in the dash. For the back I was thinking 5.25 components in an enclosure. I have an Audison VRX 6 channel amp. |

You sure choose a bad vehicle for SQL or DB competetion... Put 6.5's in the soundbar (they fit, just drill the screws in), get a 5.25 bracket for the front speakers, through a 10" sub in the trunk, amp it, and that's about the best you're going to get on that noisey vehicle. Amps will fit under the back seat (but I wouldn't tilt it anymore!) and the sub will take up your entire trunk.
