Panasonic sa-xr45 ! Can be had for $300 on the web. Some audiophiles are replacing their multi thousand pre/power with this. Sounds clean, smooth, with a great bass. Looks slim and nice too. |

I do not know about the others listed, but I sold some equipment and am using the HK230 as a "betweener" rig. It is quite nice for the price. 6.1 surround, a lot of other features and generally a sound that leans toward the warm side. I think one call sells them for a better price than listed above. Side note: Ugly remote |

i would try the yamaha rx-v440 the onkyo tx-sr501 the marantz sr-4400. these three receivers are to die for!!!! Especially the Marantz!!! |
