Hi, I'm looking for new tower speakers for listening to music only, no dvd's. I'm looking at the Klipsch rf3 (new model) and the Paradigm monitor series, probably the 7's. They will be powered by a 10 yr old Sony receiver of about 80W/ch. Good quality for less money is better for me. Thanks for your opinions

Paradigm's will be a better match with your Sony. Klipsch and Sony/SonyES is the worst combination I have heard in my area in the last several years. The Sony's are very bright and so are the Klipsch unless paired with the right amp/receiver. Why are you not considering a new receiver to replace a 10 year old Sony?
