I just took the ports off of my KLH floor speakers and noticed that there was foam behind the woofer. Why did KLH put foam behind the woofers? I checked all four of my KLH 9912's and they all have the foam behind the woofers. Why is this? Is it too keep the cabinet from rattling? Thanks.

because internal bracing would make the speaker cabinet too expensive to make.
