I connect my antenna cable directly to my sony 60xbr800 tv and the tv speakers work fine. Now if i connect the antenna to my hdtv cable box provided by my cable company and that in turn goes to the tv, no sound comes from tv speakers. i currently have a 5.1 receiver connected to tv as well and i would like the front speakers to work in addition to my surround speakers. Any ideas how to fix this? Speakers are already set to "on" in the tv menus.

Cable box settings, under Audio, turn Dolby Digital off. Run RCA cables directly from the HDTV cable box to your receiver, the sound is much improved. This is assuming the cable box doesn't have optical, coax or digital out.
