Soon I'll be upgrading my receiver and speakers. My current system is the Fluance 5 speaker setup deal, 5 speakers for $200, sounded like a good deal. But, with those powered by my JVC 8010 receiver they were bright and harsh at high playback levels.

So I was thinking about getting the Klipsch SF-2 with the JVC DP9V receiver, would anyone know if this setup would sound bright at all?

Sorry man but JVC is a very bright receiver from what I have heard in the past. I honestly don't know about the new receivers.

If you want to get the Klipsch speakers (which are bright), I say get a HK AVR330 receiver or the Yamaha RX-V1400 receiver which IS NOT BRIGHT.
