A coworker of mine who has led me into high-end audio is looking for a new CD-player. His Parasound C/DP-1000 cd player is skipping and just not sounding well. He wants one that is a top-loader and that you put the CD's up-side down, so dust doesn't accumulate on the laser as much. Does anyone have any suggestions? He is looking to keep it under $1000. His current system is:
Conrad Johnson Preamp
2 Burning power amps
Spica speakers
15 in MK Sub
