PIONEER Confused

I found a deal on a PIONEER VSX-810S receiver for $299. It has everything I wanted:

High bred Amp
100 watt
DTS

Is this deal too good to be true??
What's wrong with this receiver??????

That really is not a very good deal. The VSX-810S is last year's model and while it does have a lot of features it is also missing a few features. While it has 6 channels of amplification it only emulates Dolby Digital EX, meaning that the rear surround (6th channel) is only matrixed. Pioneer corrected that issue with the VSX-811S this year by including DTS-ES Discrete. The VSX-810 was also missing Dolby Pro-Logic II which I feel is a must have if you watch TV or VHS tapes.

By going to PriceScan.com I was able to find the VSX-811S for $286.99.
