hi, i have to put music on a Invisionfree site and i used the embed tag, i could see it properly. BUT no one else could hear it.....so how do you use the embed tag but also let the other person hear it?

Alright all MySpace users an easy way to put a song you like on your profile without going through another website and through alot of bullshit just register as an artist...... technically you are not supposed to do this unless you REALLY are an artist and you have your own music but it worked for me and i wont tell anyone if u wont haha so once you have registered as an artist you can upload only 4 songs but hey its easier than going through all the other bullshit anyways i hope this helps you out i know it is kind of like cheating your way through but I have been trying to upload songs to my MySpace for some time now and it just was not working for me at all so i had to take drastic measures for those of you who are like me and could not upload your songs to MySpace just follow what i said above and its pretty much smooth sailing from there just go to the artistprofile u created from your regular profile and you will see your songs that YOU uploaded and click "add" and its all good! PLUS everyone can hear it on your profile NOT just you!

Yeah so anyays everybody Ripway DOES work but like it does somehting about bandwidth and because of that,I had to delete most of my songs (which was prbably a stupid thing to do snce the song that wasnt deleted still didnt work),so yeah i reccomend http://www.insightz.net/index.php its a really good site xD

It dosn't seem like http://www.insightz.net/index.php is working. I place a song and click on upload and freezes for like 20 minutes but never actually uploads it. Also when I use http://www.busking.org it uploads the song but when I go to look for it under listeners it dosn't show up. Is anyone else having probs with it lately? PLEASE HELP

Ok anyone trying to upload a song from your computer or limewire onto Myspace.com listen up. First of all Limewire downloads onto your computer just browse for it and you should find the file. Anyone recommending www.ripway.com is a genius because it does work. This site will give you an html code to post anywhere you can post the html code on Myspace.com. Here how you do it:
Go to www.ripway.com and register a free account.
Once you are logged on Click on My files at the top of the site and then Click Upload Files, it will take you to a thing so you can browse your computer. Find the song you would like to play from your computer/limewire folder and click upload. Once you click upload it you will see your browser working and it will do this for about 3 minutes. Once this is done go back to my files up at the top of ripway.com and your file should be right there. Next to your song name should be a get code htm. Click on it and copy the first code it gives you. I dont know what the second code it for but the first code worked for me. Once you have the code paste it anywhere Myspace lets you paste an HTML code.

This is great because all it show up as it a little quick player things wherever you decided to put it.

But im sure most of the songs you are looking for or want to put on your Myspace is in the Music Section. Just click on Music and Search any songs you want and then look for add at the top right of the page and it will add it to your site.

Ripway.com is great for if you want a custom soundtrack from your band or a voice recording of your voice. Most of the songs you will prolly be looking for can prolly be found from the Myspace.com music that it gives you.

I used Ripway for a while, but the bandwidth sucks, same with fileupyours.com. A pretty awesome site that works is Putfile.com, upload your music, then click on the link to play the song. Go to the "View" tab on the top of your browser, and view the source code for the page. Look around a bit, you should see a link that ends in ".mp3", that's the url you put into your blog. They haven't done anything to my account there yet, so I'm assuming they have no way to track that; just out of courtesy, though, I delete the old song whenever I use a new one to cut down on my bandwidth piracy.

Go make an account at Putfile, and activate it. Login, and upload the song from your cd to putfile (click on "browse", and locate the file either in your disk drive or wherever you have the song). Putfile will then give you a link to listen to your song through their page. Go to the link, and once you're onto the page where the song is playing, go to "view" at the top of the browser, then click on "view source" or "page source". Firefox sort of simplifies what shows up, but normal Internet Explorer will work too. Now, in the source stuff, about at the middle of it all will be something that says "http://www.blahblah.mp3". Copy this link, and dump it into your blog's music popup. The song should now play automatically in the background whenever you load up your blog.

this works just click on the top of the page then go to edit and search put .mp3 in and it will bring you to their link it will even start with <embed so just copy the whole thing and paste it into one of your myspace areas and it works... i tried it and now my song plays when i go to my profile.... any questions check out my myspace at myspace.com/cheese2good

people are having problems looking for their song? ok...make sure you put a title for your song before you upload it. now theres two ways of finding it. one you can look it up on the title bar on the top right of the screen. make sure you type in the exact title of the song otherwise it wont find it. another easier way is just go to the listeners site and look for you song. new songs uploaded are on the bottom of the page. any questions? email me. thanks

i know you can go to www.ripway.com upload your file from your computer turn it in to a url and then copy and paste the url into the about me section of edit profile (hint hint)!!! but how in the hell do you make it play all the time without pausing im sure it has something to do with the autoplay thread or infinite or something to that effect i have even tried to fix the quickplayer settings but no help hmm i wonder what i do next????

Im not sure this will help u but here is my answer, in the EMBED tag, there should be a bit that says loop. E.g

<EMBED src="file.wav" autostart=true loop=10000 volume=100
hidden=true><noembed><bgsound></noembed>

try copying that code and change the file.wav to ur file. Hope this helps 8)

Thre is an overabundant number of webspace out there for free to upload music or whatever. What is really expensive as a company is bandwith. Each time a person listens to a song posted on a site it uses bandwidth. So a site may advertise 50mb of free space, but be mindful of the maximum allowed bandwidth. The key here is don't be cheap go to sites like http://www.250free.com and upload your music, yes you get 250mb of free space, but the bandwidth number is so low that 10 people can use up your max alloted bandwidth for the month. For $23 you can get 6 months of 50,000mb of bandwidth a month. Unless your Paris Hilton you're not going to have that many people to your site who are going to use up all your bandwidth.

just go to the ripway.com site fill out the info to be a user... then go to my files... then it will say you have none... hit upload files... i have lime wire and itunes so just go there copy and paste the song to your desktop... go back to the upload section on ripway... hit browse... find your song from your desktop... click it... then hit upload... it may take a minure to upload...it will then give you the code... then go to myspace... edit profile... copy and paste is somewhere like in the "about me section"... save it and you should be good to go!

ey.. i uploadd music from www.ripway.com and it worked at first. but in about 1 hr the music stopped working. when i went on ripway.com and logged in i tried to open the music file. but it said "This user account has exceeded their daily bandwidth limit. If this is your account, you might consider upgrading to a premium plan, or reduce the number or size of files you're sharing online. As soon as the total downloads from this account over a 24 hour period drops below the accounts limit, downloads will be restored. " what does this mean? is there anyway to play the music again?

What I did was use this code:

But that does NOT work when you don't have a web host, like Ripway. So, go to www.ripway.com and sign-up and then upload your music. Now your account doesn't lock up for over bandwith usage, they changed that. After you uploaded your music. get the URL from it and post it in the part of the code where it says yourmusic.mid (replace ONLY that part with your music URL. hope it helps. (That code gives you a windows media player thing where you can pause/start/and stop it.) Hey MySpace users, I recently had a problem with the <embed src=> tag for music. What happened, was I would get redirected to someone's profile after I clicked Edit in the About Me section, and the same went for the rest of the Edit links.

I found another <embed> tag, and I haven't had a problem since. It uses Windows Media Player too. BTW, I'm using putfile.com for my uploads, it's a good site so far. Here's the code:

for those of you who want to add music from limewire to your myspace( ive done it) the way i did it is go to http://www.tripod.lycos.com/ and just make a fake thing but when it says what you want to do, select " im an experienced blah blah blah i want to upload files" click that and then import the song from your saved limewire folder and then click on the file that uploaded and use that as the url bgsound src="the url of the song goes here" autoplay="true" loop="infinite"

Just go to a hosting site and download the video. Go to browse, then find the file in your documents or wherever you keep it, upload, then you'll get a link and you just paste it into whatever program you're using on your site to play videos.

Hey, I have my own website and I'm just uploading my mp3s to that by just dragging them into the ftp folder. While when I go to their URL they play and you can download them if I post the link by saving target, when I put the URL in my playlist (on a player similar to: This one) they don't load.

(PS I've also tried putfile and that doesn't work either... but it also doesn't give the URLs .mp3 addresses)

Autostart = true makes it start automatically. If you change true to false, it will start when the visitors click the play button.
Loop = false makes it so that it only plays once. If you make it to loop = true. It will keep on playing untill the visitor exits the page. If you use that code though, the visitor has to have a media player, like Windows Media Player, or Real Player to hear it. Same with the one above it, I'm sure.

Use http://www.ripway.com to upload the music, then copy the location of the file and paste it into where it says "FILE URL HERE".

The mini player is very small. It works perfectly on my myspace. I embeded my music player into my "Music" section. The mini player appeared in my music section. So, the mini player will appear wherever you added the code to. If you want to make it bigger, so it's not hard to find, add more to the width. =) I hope I helped.

the problem i think with my page is that the mini player does not appear. However its there in invisible form. Because when I click on that area (where the player is supposed to be) the song starts to play. Also I can see tool tips when i move the cursor over that area. This is really wierd. Is there anyone who has faced the same problem before?

GRRRRRRR ripway is annoying me...i alwayz onli dwnload one song on there...it plays on my myspace profile for bout 1hr then stops it says

ok i used putfile for uploadin music into my myspace n xanga..it seems to work fine the first couple of day..but now it doesnt work...it says... Requested file not found, the link you followed may be outdated or inaccurate. so i dont know wut to do. same with xanga. anyone know how to fix it or a better site for uploading music onto website?

for those of you that are wondering how to upload a song from limewire onto a muspace music page; drap &nd drop the music file from limewire onto a music FOLDER on your computer. when you get to the upload form on myspace music, it should be in the same folder you dropped it into.

Okay, heres a question i dont think any1 has said on here. I like the way it looks when u add the songs from myspace music. its small and out of the way. so i made a myspace music so i can put wat i want on it. and now i have relitively the same problem yall have, only thing is, it has to be a MP3 but when i browse the files and get it it says its not a MP3, even though i just downloaded it from limewire. the problem is that it doesnt except codes to add the song. so thats my pickle. so either help me out, or suck on it. :-)
