I just bought an Esoteric Audio A4 cable to connect my CD player and amplifier. However, the instructions that come with the cable say nothing about directionality. Does anybody out there know what direction the arrows in the banana plugs have to point (from CD player to amp or from amp to CD player)? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum Enrique,

The answer is CD to amp, so the arrow point is on the amp end. The arrow usually denotes the direction of travel of the signal.

Oh and they're not banana plugs. Onn an interconnect, they're RCA plugs, although many people still refer to them as phono plugs from the old old days when you plugged your phonogram into your amplifier.

Have fun,
Frank.
