Need help with selection of full range efficient speakers to replace my aging Mordaunt Short Pageant IIs. Problem is my single ended triode is only 13 watts and I would like a forward firing port so I can have them located against the wall....Soliloquys won't work!! Room size is 15X13. I listen to all types of music. Budget undetermined. Any recommendations please????

How about the simplest system; full range with no crossover components to eat up watts:

These were just reviewed in "Stereophile". I would suggest you get on the web sites of several S.E.T. manufacturers, particularly the D.I.Y. folks to see what your options are.

You should look into Living Voice speakers. They were designed with low wattage tube amps in mind. Efficiency is high, they're very dynamic and go low to boot! Plus, they sound a dream. Check them out at: http://www.livingvoice.co.uk
I have the least expensive ones ($3000) and it'll be a long time before I change these!! They're reviewed fairly extensively.
