Plan to purchase either Sony KDF-55XS955 or KDF-55WF655 HD TV. 55", ATSC integrated tuner, HDMI, DVI. Will subscribe to Dishnetwork HD satalite.

Need to purchase receiver, speakers, sub-woofer, plan on 5.1 setup. Budget $4,000 range for a/v receiver, speakers, sub. Have just begun to research and listen to components. 50/50 music and movie use. Down the road will purchase SA-CD/DVD equipment. Room 35x16 ft, cathedral ceilings. Any recommendations greatly appreciated.

Huge room. Start with efficient speakers. Consider Klipsch, even used from the heritage line off of ebay or audiogon. A pair of Klipschorns would be a nice start but is probably beyond your budget.

Consider SVS or Hsu for the sub, so you can keep the cost low and still get something decent. But it's a large room; you'll need a powerful sub.

Have fun! :-)
