I will be purchasing a Home theater system en masse in July. I've settled on the Marantz 6400. I'm torn between systems consisting of Def tech studio monitor 350 or Paradigm mini monitor or the aperion intimus. Any thoughts? |

the speakers you mentioned are all equally great speakers each with its own set of fans and enthusiasts. One will prefer one over the other, so the best judge will be your ears. I have heard the Aperion and the Paradigms and they are both good and it will be a hard choice. I haven't heard the Def Tech studios in a while, but I knew that I liked them, too. I think however that the Marantz will go well with the Paradigms.

The Marantz would go best with the Def Techs. The Paradigms are pretty laid back and so is the Marantz. The Def Techs have incredible dynamics which will bring out the best of the Marantz warm, powerful sound. Can't go wrong with this combo. |
