Hi, I've got this problem with my receiver. The sound cuts out in every mode(CD,Stereo,Phono,Cass).
It will cut out within 1 minute of turning on the unit or sometimes it takes longer. It's doing it more and more lately. The unit is about 6 or 8 years old.
I've switched from using the speaker "A" jacks to speaker"B" jacks and it still does it.
When it cuts out, I have to lift up the rear right corner of the unit and then you can hear the switch click back on.
When it cuts out it sounds like the invisible man went up to the receiver and pressed the speaker on/off button. It makes the same noise as if that's what you did.
What could this be ? It doesn't sound like it's anything major, but I still can't pinpoint the problem. I thought originally it was a wire shorting out on something else, but I don't visually see anything yet(I haven't taken the circuit board out yet).
Please help if anyone has any ideas.
THANKS JEFF L.
