I recently bought a used Technics SL-BD26 turntable at a nearby home audio store. The salesman hooked it up to a receiver in the store so that I could hear it and it sounded great so I bought it. When I got it home and hooked it up to my receiver I could barely hear the record playing and I had to turn up the volume really high to have even a decent volume. I was wondering if there is something that I am clearly doing wrong here that is causing it not to put out a whole lot of volume. I know that it is not the receiver or the speakers because I have other equipment hooked up to it and the volume for these is fine. I am new to turntables and have very little knowledge on how to work out problems with them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx.
