Hey everyone. Got a couple of quick questions and would appreciate any help. I am moving into a new home with pre-wiring for surround. The family room has no defined ceiling(its very open), but only the roof above the second floor. The wiring is such that only surface mounted speakers would work (not in-wall, because of the headers). My question is: 1)What would be some good surface mounted speakers in this configuration (the room is about 15X15). Boston Acoustics Micro 130X were recommended with the Micro Center Channel and PV700 sub. Any thoughts on the Boston's? Any other brands? 2)What would be a good 6.1 receiver? What would be good with the speakers you recommend. Thanks in advance. I'm driving myself nuts. |

My budget on speakers would be around $2500 and the budget for the receiver would be $1100 or so. Thanks for any input |
