I have a Carver CT-26v preamp and a Luxman M-375 poweramp. NHT large bookshelf speakers and an old pair of B&W Floor speakers....I want to upgrade to home theater capability without losing home stereo quality (which is pretty good right now)...problem is I don't even know enough to know what to ask here...my thought is adding a 5 channel bridgable amp would allow me to run dolby 7.1 in the future and run the pro logic thaT'S BUILT INTO THE PREAMP right now.....does anyone know a good website that explains amps, brands, curcuitry and all that good stuff to help me decide on an amp?

Also I'm looking at ATI, Sunfire (or Carver) and Adcom...are these good names and good bang for the buck....and how do they compare to what I have?
