I have recently purchased an Acurus amp with no power cord. Forgive me as I am no expert but the power cord connections appear to be identical to computer power cords. Can I use a standard IEC power cable? Is there a benefit in getting a $50 power cord versus a $10 cord other than price. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

Thats the case very often, any power cable will work fine. But thats not always the case. I would suggest getting the one supplied from mfg, or call them and ask if any would be fine.
