I bought a Samsung Home Theater in a box. It has a 5.1 surround sound. the wire that's coming out for the subwoofer is a regular speaker wire. The sub it came with is non-powered. I suspect the signal coming out of the wire is already amplified. I then bought the NHT (Now Hear This) sw10ii powered subwoofer. When I connect them, after simple RCA adapter, the Home Theater system would flash "Protection" and then turn off. I think the sub is giving back power that the Home Theater system didn't expect, so it shuts itself off. Any idea what I can do to connect the two?
