I like the sound of Athena AS-B1 ($150 at www.bestbuy.com) with a sony sub sa-wm500 ($129 on ebay) better. The smaller woofer (5 inch) has a pretty sound - the big ones are not as focused.

You might want to hear them with a sony sub - sounds mesmerizing.

Also consider NAD or onkyo receivers - they both were received better than HK on www.hifichoice.co.uk
