I do not think there are any out yet. Talk about an octupus of interconnects. I'm still on two channel with my Sony DVP-s9000es. |

Interesting question. It's quite easy to find receivers having 6.1 or even 7.1 inputs. But I can't remember any multi-format player with this feature.
On the other hand I haven't seen any SACD or DVD-A disc having more than 5.1 channels either. Anybody knows if these formats' technical specs permit more channels? |

5.1 is a max. count. Defined in specification.
many 6.1 and 7.1 receivers has 5.1 analog input for DVD-A/SACD |
