I am really trying to learn the lingo here so I can make informed decisions. I am in the process of upgrading my system. I recently purchased Athenas As B2s for my front speakers. I sometimes see people post statements like, "This bright receiver makes a good match with your dark speakers, etc..." Are my Athenas dark, medium, or bright and am I going to have to be more or less careful with specific brands or receivers? |

I have the AS-F2's with a H/K 320 receiver and they sound a little bright but detailed. My combo seam to be very speaker cable sensitive. If you are using the Athena sub, try using the speaker level inputs and select no sub in setup so your not doubiling the cross over. The sub will have your speaker type on the dial, thats a good place to start. |
